Harry Truman always said if you want a friend in Washington get a dog.  Apparently, that holds true for Saint Paul as well.  SPicy was enjoying a frosty beverage on a Grand Avenue balcony Sunday and witnessed Mayor Chris Coleman walking down Grand Avenue, alone, with his dog.  Even Randy Kelly used to draw a crowd.  Of course, it was possible the loud shirt he was wearing might have had something to do with that.  And there's a guy who had a horse as a friend.  Man, do you remember when the Mayor used to be somebody? 

One last note:

Rick Mulkern, buy some new signs.  That just looks ridiculous.  Is that the band aid approach we can expect from the school board if elected.  Come on.
