SPicy suggests that the organizers of the "Better Ballot Campaign" might want to do a little homework before they go out to collect anymore signatures.

Within 14 days of receiving contributions or disbursements in excess of $750 this group needed to file their committee report. As of 9:30 this morning, no report or organizational statement exists at Ramsey County Online.

Is it possible that they have not raised or spent $750, possibly, but unlikely.  Why hasn't Joe Mansky over at Ramsey County told them to do so?  Mansky has been quoted in the dailies having reviewed the BBC (Its starting to make sense now) ballot question and petition sheets.  If they have not raised $750 after 6 months + of organizing, then this is more of a fledgling effort than SPicy thought.  Didn't you have a lawyer review your ballot question? Your website makes a claim that your a committee, but in the eyes of the public you're not.

T-Shirts, web domains, contribution links, organization, pens, paper, copies, house parties, kool-aid, in-kind contributions would total $750 easy.

Lets see the report BBC, lets see if the the liberal politicians, PACs, Council Candidates, Volunteers, supporters - (the Sierra Club??) really believe in the cause.  March down to the county, lets see your report TODAY!!  Maybe the county elections department is backlogged and has not gotten the committe filing up yet, SPicy will be watching.  If BBC is derelict, they should voluntarily destroy all signatures obtained since they were in violation.

If BBC can prove SPicy wrong, this post will be removed. Maybe SPicy will even make a statement of support for the cause. We'll see.

SPicy wants to see who wants to pay for a "Better Ballot".
