SPicy came up as a topic of conversation on the Saint Paul Issues Forum today.  Yeah, SPicy has been lurking there for some time now. The whole list is pretty well one-sided, and will do anything and everything to defend the DFL or discredit anyone that challenges them.

And yes, SPicy has indeed consumed many DFL lunches.  Fact is, SPicy is still waiting for a good one.  Each time SPicy sits down for the DFL'er du jour, SPicy is more and more disappointed waiting for them to serve up just a morsel of something good.  SPicy tries and tries again but that DFL lunch always gets more and more expensive.  At each meal the DFL tells SPicy, "don't worry, someone else is going to pay for it."  Despite this, SPicy has yet to have a free lunch from the DFL. SPicy will note that there has never been a free Republican lunch either, at least SPicy was aware of this when sitting down and had enough left over for a generous tip.


SPicy must also add that those serving up the topics for SaintPaulicy are... you.  You are SaintPaulicy.com. Early on SPicy heard names, but SPicy has yet to hear SPicy's own.  SPicy is not out to get any one or group.  SPicy wants to bring out the rest of the story, or to just plain tell the story.  SPicy loves Saint Paul, but SPicy is fed-up with the same old menu.

SPicy has had some success.  With just over 3 months of info to share with SPicy's readers, you've visited over 40,000 times. You've sent countless comments and provided many stories.  Someday, when SPicy feels compelled to do so, maybe you'll begin seeing these comments.  SPicy does not have time to get to all of the stories, but SPicy feels that there has been a difference.  People are watching Saint Paul's officials, elected and appointed and well connected self appointed "representatives" and activists. SPicy is trying to let everyone else know that there is more than one voice in this town and its OK for everyone to use theirs.
