SPicy's back and with a heckuva lot to talk about. Sorry about being gone for so long. SPicy had a little bit of an unplanned vacation and did not get a chance to let you all know. Now that the debt has been re-paid to society, SPicy is ready to resume commenting on the state of policy in Saint Paul.
SPicy left off a while back with so many easy targets to provide insight, the two tiered budget threats, LGA shenanigans and new excuses from the Riverfront Corporation about not supporting the Bridges. SPicy just read one of the many tips that have been left. Did you know that the Mayor's new chief of staff was hired after the Mayor's Office alledgedly conducted a city wide poll. Turns out that an overwhelming number of people in Saint Paul hold the opinion that the City is doing nothing new. Did they actually need to conduct a poll to reach such an obvious conclusion? Mayor Chris Coleman's answer to his dimal rating was to hire a new staffer - whoooppppeeee! Seriously, who is advising you?
Did anyone see Mayor Coleman at the fair this year? If you did, let SPicy know. If you're not sure, he was probably wearing an R.T. shirt, covered in DFL themed stickers and buttons and wandering aimlessly alone looking for a chance to make his mark at the "Grandstand."
SPicy is alive and well, and better for the little break. Everyone's kids should be back at school by now, so good luck talking about homework at the dinner table tonight, SPicy will be following up on some of the assignments that have been missed during the past few weeks.
The priceless info out of Ward 3, that Harris' challenger would drop out of the race because of turmoil over at the Star and Tribune. SPicy bets that Mischke will be back in the race once his job is shipped to India. SPicy wouldn't count him out just yet. Too bad the DFL is getting a free ride in Ward 3.
See you soon.
